B2B 2025 (Bus to Boston)

Merrimack Valley Striders running club offers bus transportation again this year for club members to the start of the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton.  We are back and excited to offer the bus to Boston for human chain volunteers and runners for 2025. Bus reservations are available exclusively for current Merrimack Valley Striders club members who are also registered 2025 BAA Boston Marathon Volunteers or official 2025 Boston Marathon runners. The information is subject to change if we get additional requirements from the BAA on the event.

The buses will leave from the McGovern Transportation Center (Lawrence MBTA Station, 211 Merrimack St, Lawrence MA) and bring volunteers/runners to Hopkinton. The buses will also be returning to Lawrence with the first bus leaving Boston by 4pm or when full; the second bus will leave around 5:30pm. If you do not expect to complete the marathon in time to make the last bus at 5:30pm, please be sure to make other arrangements for a ride. Please bring three dollars to tip the bus driver.

Lawrence T Information

• 24 HOUR FACILITY
• 400 PARKING SPOTS
• $8 MAX PER DAY
• PICK UP AND DROP OFF WILL BOTH BE AT THE TRAIN STATION.

Volunteers:

• Please arrive at Lawrence T Station parking lot by 5:00 AM! (time is subject to change)
• Volunteer Bus leaves Lawrence T Station @ 5:30 AM.
• Please do not be late.

Runners:

• Please arrive at Lawrence T Station parking lot by 6:00 AM!(time is subject to change)
• Runner Bus leaves Lawrence T Station @ 6:30 AM.
• Please do not be late.
  

Carefully Note the Following:

• The fee for the bus is $25 for volunteers and $50 for runners.
• You must have current MVS membership.
• The bus is strictly for official MVS/BAA volunteers and runners only.
• Applications will not be accepted for members unless current year dues are paid
• Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or personal checks are accepted in the checkout cart.
• Seats will be confirmed by email only.
• Please bring a gratuity of $3 cash for the bus driver.

Post Marathon Party

Running the Boston Marathon is an incredible accomplishment! Celebrate your achievement and share your stories with your MVS friends and family at the April General meeting, held at Salvatore’s, 354 Merrimack St. Lawrence MA on April 15th, 2024.

Post-Marathon Bash plans are in progress! Runners, volunteers, friends and family members. All will be welcome to gather at Salvatore’s to congratulate our Boston Marathoners, regale each other with stories of the amazing day, and enjoy dinner together! More information to follow.

Party attendance is open for all Striders, volunteers, marathoners and the best fans!

Dinner will feature a buffet with desserts and coffee. Cash Bar.

• Price is $25 per person for adults and children over 10. 
• Price is $10 for children under 10, who will get a kids pizza.  
• Registration and payment required by 4/19/25 at 5 PM.
